Methodology
Every token starts at 100 points. Each finding below subtracts points. Any critical finding caps the score at 30, however good the rest looks. A score of 75 or more is Clean, 45–74 is Caution, below 45 is Danger. If holder data could not be loaded, the score is capped at 74 so an incomplete scan never shows as Clean. Tokens younger than one hour are capped at 74 as well – it is too early to call them clean. The same rules apply to every token, including $SNOOT.
| Check | Points | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Mint authority active | −45 (critical) | The holder can print new tokens. |
| Freeze authority active | −35 (critical) | The holder can freeze wallets so they cannot sell. |
| Token-2022: permanent delegate | −45 (critical) | Another address can move or burn anyone's tokens. |
| Token-2022: non-transferable | −50 (critical) | The token cannot be sent or sold. |
| Token-2022: accounts start frozen | −35 (critical) | New buyer accounts are locked. |
| Token-2022: transfer hook | −20 | Third-party code runs on every transfer. |
| Token-2022: transfer fee | −8, or −20 from 5% | A fee is withheld on every transfer. |
| Metadata mutable | −5 | Name, symbol and image can be changed. |
| Top 10 wallets | > 20%: −6 · > 30%: −15 · > 50%: −25 | Share of supply held by the ten largest wallets. Pools, bonding curves and other program-owned addresses are excluded. |
| Largest single wallet | > 5%: −6 · > 10%: −15 · > 30%: −40 (critical above 30%) | Share of supply in the biggest wallet. For tokens trading in a pool, SNOOT also estimates how far the price would fall if that wallet sold everything at once. |
| pump.fun creator wallet | > 2%: −4 · > 5%: −10 · > 10%: −20 | How much the token's creator still holds. |
| Bundled launch | > 5%: −4 · > 10%: −10 · > 20%: −20 | Share of supply bought in the same block the pump.fun token was created, by wallets other than the dev. Only possible with a bundle the dev controls. |
| Snipers | > 15%: −4 · > 25%: −8 | Share bought by bots in the ~1 second after launch. |
| Bundle and sniper wallets still holding | > 5%: −6 · > 15%: −15 | How much those early wallets still hold today (among the largest holders). |
| pump.fun dev sold out | before graduation: −15 · after: −6 | The creator held the token and has sold everything. Before graduation this is a classic early exit. |
| Price collapse | ≤ -90% in 24h or ≤ -80% in 1h: −30 (critical) | A rug signature. Market data from DEX Screener. |
| Price crash | ≤ -80% in 24h or ≤ -60% in 1h: −20 · ≤ -50% in 24h: −8 | What a rug or a whale dump looks like on the chart. Market data from DEX Screener. |
| Pool liquidity | < $1,000: −15 · < $5,000: −8 | Thin pools make it hard to sell. Only for tokens that trade in a pool. Market data from DEX Screener. |
| Age | < 1h: −8 and capped at 74 · < 24h: −3 | Brand-new tokens rug most often. Up to 15,000 transactions are read to find the launch time; for very busy coins the trading pair's creation time from DEX Screener is used. |
Data sources
Price, liquidity and market cap come from DEX Screener's public API – the only data not read from the chain. Everything else is read directly from Solana: the mint account, Token-2022 extensions, Metaplex metadata, the largest token accounts and their owners, the pump.fun bonding curve account and the mint's transaction history. Results are cached for 60 seconds.
What is not checked yet
- Whether pool liquidity is locked or burned for tokens outside pump.fun
- Previous tokens launched by the same dev wallet
- Sell simulation against honeypots
- Bundles and snipers for very busy coins whose launch lies more than 15,000 transactions back
Limits
A score describes what is visible on-chain at the moment of the scan. It is not a guarantee, not an audit and not financial advice. A clean token can still go to zero.
